Help

How firstreactions works.

Quick answers to the questions creators ask most. If you don't see yours, email hello@firstreactions.app — we read every one.

Getting started

How does firstreactions work?

Upload the clip you want tested (a track, hook, intro, or thumbnail cut). Pick who reacts using our audience filters — age, location, taste, and the artists or channels they consume. We deliver face-on-camera reactions plus a full analytics report, usually inside an hour.

What can I upload?

Audio, video, image, or text — from 5 seconds up to a 3-minute section per reactor. Source clip can be up to 20 minutes; you pick the exact 3-minute section reactors will react to.

What's the free trial?

Your first 3 reactions are free — real reactor sessions from your target audience. You'll see the verdict, meet your reactors, and watch the peak reaction in full. To unlock every reaction, every quote, and the actionable next step, subscribe on any paid plan. No card required for the trial, no auto-billing.

Batches & delivery

How long does a batch take?

Most batches complete inside an hour once the audience filter is confirmed. If your filter is very narrow (say: 22-year-old SZA listeners in London who binge Kurzgesagt), delivery may take longer as we pull the exact pool.

How many reactors can I have on a batch?

Anywhere from 1 to 200. Most creators run 20–40 per batch — enough for pattern-detection quotes to feel real ("+7 echoed this reason") without over-buying.

What's version comparison?

Upload two versions of the same clip (V1 vs V2 of a mix, hook A vs hook B, intro cut A vs B). The same audience watches both back to back and you see which one wins on sentiment, retention, and full-listens — plus the quote that flipped their opinion. Different from YouTube's post-launch A/B: this runs before you publish, on your target audience, with verbal reasons — not just click stats. Counts as 2 reactions per reactor.

Reports & analytics

What does the report contain?

Every reaction video, the WHY behind every drop and peak (verbatim quotes tied to timestamps), a hook-retention curve, live sentiment timeline, verbal feedback transcripts, and a directional ship-or-rework call.

How accurate is the sentiment / attention data?

Sentiment and attention signals are directional — derived from webcam-based reactor sessions in home conditions, not lab-grade eye tracking. Verbatim quotes and hook retention are the rock-solid layer; the softer signals help you know where to listen.

Who owns the reaction videos?

You have full commercial rights to use the reaction videos from your batch. Reactor identities can be anonymised on request. See our Terms for details.

Protecting unreleased work

Is my unreleased track / video actually safe?

Yes. Uploaded media is stored in encrypted Google Cloud Storage (AES-256 at rest, TLS in transit). Reactors never see the file name, artist name, or any metadata — just the specific clip you asked them to react to. They can't download or re-share it. Playback is short-lived signed URLs, revoked when the session ends.

Can reactors download or leak my clip?

No download button, no right-click save. Streamed via signed URLs that expire in minutes. Reactor sessions are recorded from their side — meaning we retain their face-cam, not your clip. If a reactor tries to screen-record, they'd be recording low-fidelity through their own camera, not the original file.

Who inside firstreactions can see my upload?

Only the automated pipeline (Gemini analysis, storage). No human staff opens or reviews your uploads except when you specifically ask us to (support tickets you initiate). We do not train on your content.

How long is my content stored?

Uploads move to cold storage after 30 days and are auto-deleted after 2 years. You can request early deletion at any time — email hello@firstreactions.app and it's gone within 24 hours.

Do you sign NDAs?

For paid plans, yes. Reach out via hello@firstreactions.app and we'll counter-sign yours or provide our standard mutual NDA.

Pricing & billing

How much does it cost?

Your first test is free and you'll get a preview of the report. Full report unlocks on any paid plan — starts at $12/month (billed annually) with 30 credits included. See the Pricing section on the home page for the full breakdown.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel or downgrade any time from your account. Unused reactions roll over one month.

Do you offer refunds?

If a batch doesn't deliver — reactors don't show, filter can't be met, or the report is broken — we refund fully. Reach out to hello@firstreactions.app.
